So….finally I get some time to blog. Well I’m just in between doing some stuff a work and just back from lunch.
Working with Dad’s company certainly has been awesome so far. It’s funny how when I first started at UM I was excited yet “direction-less”. What that means was that while I was working there I was just in the rat-race, just flowing with no end in sight and so uncertain. But yet, over the course of my 5 months working there I have made many good friends as well as learnt a whole lot of stuff. It has made me more aware of the Malaysian media scene as well as how to strategise and get into the minds of the consumers. All of which were priceless knowledge for me.
However, once I started at Dad’s company I found some direction. I had an interest with the business side of things, the cashflow, the forecasts and how to market a quality product to a niche group of people. To be honest, just one my second day I already came up with a list of goals that I wanted to achieve while working here.
It was something that I never was able to do while I was working in a media agency.
I am excited as to what I can do for Interlock and I’m looking ahead with the intention of building this company from strength to strength. I get excited when I speak to people in the marketplace and the feedback we get when they say that they are now having a strong preference towards our products and services due to the quality.
Previously they used to sacrifice quality for the lower cost but now that they have seen failed products to products that give a lot of problems, they are now realising that you can’t compromise on quality.
I believe God certainly has directed my paths here and I know it. For His plans for me are to bless me and not to harm me, that’s also when I continuously seek Him and commit each and every plan and decision to Him. That to me is the greatest business decision any God-fearing businessman can ever do.
What a year it has been!!! I know you must be thinking it's only just the middle of the year!! Well for me it has so far been a very big year. Today was my last day at UM and I certainly enjoyed every bit of it.
I've learnt heaps, had great memories and made very good friends out of my colleagues. I believe that I have been very genuine with these people and I am no different to how I am with you or anyone else. I have always tried to be constant...
I hope now I will have more time to update this blog and possibly gain back my "cult" following!! I know I don't blog as often as I did when I was still unemployed and a bum last year where I could have up to 2 entries per day!! But now, I'm more active on other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter (@salerity)!! Yup....come "follow" me on Twitter and you'll get a glimpse of my daily life and what I sort of trouble I get myself in...
So for now I bid you good night and more to come now that I'm on a short holiday before I begin my work at Interlock!!
I shall leave you with the following video. A tribute to the King of Pop, like how Elvis was to my parent's generation, so will Michael's popularity and influences be for mine. Look at movies like Step Up, music and artists like Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, all the modern dance moves evolved from Michael Jackson.

Hey guys!!
Sorry for the long absence! Well I have just been having a mighty blog-drought! Been busy with a whole lotta things!
Some brief updates in my life since my last entry:
1)Have resigned – going to work with Dad
2)Went for my first mountain biking at Kiara – so unfit but so fulfilling
3)Got a couple of creatives out for Young Adults Ministry
4)Sold my camera – Upgrading to a Nikon D90
So those are the brief bits. =)
But on other matters, I’ve managed to spend some quality time with some of my friends from church and we’re really enjoying life! Encouraging one another as well as fellowshipping!
Church-front, could be better – but our new pastor will be coming in officially in July so everyone’s just in a “frustratingly” waiting mode. But things must go on and a couple of us are determined to see at least the Young Adults ministry move forward positively…
My personal devotions have also been much much better! Extension of those quiet times to my drive to work and I’m really getting in tuned with Him.
So that’s me for now. Can’t wait for Lily to come back from NZ, to go for my next trail ride in Kiara, to get my Nikon D90, meet up with anyone of you and working for Dad!! So that’s looking ahead!!
p/s Come follow me on Twitter: @salerity – If I know you I’ll add you, else you’re a SPAMMER and I’ll just ignore you!
I know it's been a long while since I last blogged on this page. Well what to do when you're spending the whole day in front of a computer at work and the last thing I wanna do is be in front of one again when I come home.
Although I have been up and about and busy a lil bit. I do take time to relax and unwind when I get back from work though. Stuff like watching TV, catching up on my drama series, hanging out with my parents, friends, exercising at the gym and most of all sleeping! Yeap... you don't know how much I enjoy my Saturday sleep-ins!
Well today was a very productive day. Spent the whole arvo planning, shooting and working on the Young Adults Ministry promo for the upcoming Financial Dialogue we'll be running. I reckon it's one of the best we've done so far (not because my face is in 50% of the video) but I love it for the concept. It's different and it's really taking a whole new direction. By the way, only reason they got me to do the pics was cos I was the only one who was daring enough to look like a complete idiot and be able to look at it and laugh together with everyone! Yes I have no shame!! hahaha!!
Anyways, God has certainly been good. Been trying to stay close to Him as best I can and not allowing my selfish human desires get in the way, although there are times where I'd slip. But I'm keeping focused and trying to LOVE Him more and more each day!
Well that's it for now. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to bless someone! Have a fantastic rest of the week and enjoy the Sunday while it's still the weekend! God Bless!!
